Cena do filme "Farinelli". Para conseguirem apanhar razoavelmente todo o "range" vocal dos castratti, fundiram em computador as vozes de um tenor e uma soprano.
Nesta cena, Farinelli, o mais importamte castratti do seu tempo, canta uma ária de Handel, da ópera "Rinaldo".

"Der blaue engel" ("O anjo azul")
Outro dos meus filmes favoritos, com uma actriz inesquecível, Marlene Dietrich. A história de um professor, figura severa, moral e solitária, que se apaixona perdidamente por uma lindíssima cantora de cabaret sem escrupúlos, sendo manipulado, ridicularizado e despojado do tudo o que tinha em nome desse amor sem limites. Acabará abandonado, desacreditado e na miséria.

Original da década de 30, cujo título original é "You, you´re driving me crazy", fez parte do musical da Broadway "Smiles".

Ipod dock "Zeppelin" - B&W
"B&W may be all about sound quality, but it clearly knows a thing or two about design aesthetics too. Put simply, even if you never switch the Zeppelin on, it will still give you much pleasure every time you look at it.
One look at the Zeppelin will tell you why B&W gave it its moniker. The ellipsoid styling gives the Zeppelin a decidedly organic look. The black speaker covering is offset by the chrome band the wraps around the very centre of the device. "
All of this and brains too! O som é realmente extraordinário, com uma potência de 50 watts para os sons graves e 2x25 watts para os médios e agudos, difundidos por um amplificador e 5 altifalantes. Tem uma entrada para CD ou radio, uma para USB, e outras duas que permitem uma conexão vídeo/TV.
Única desvantagem: o preço - 600euros...

Lizz Wright no Jazz Cool Fest
Lizz Wright regressa a Portugal para participar no Cool Jazz Fest com um concerto em Cascais, a 18 de Julho, e explicar o motivo do "buzz" que provocou na comunidade jazzística a partir do momento em que apareceu em espectáculos de homenagem a Billie Holiday.
Assim que Wright apareceu, a imprensa apressou-se a dar conta do nascimento de uma nova estrela. A revista "People" apontou-a como "uma das mais promissoras vozes". O "Los Angeles Times" destacou o "fantástico talento para a escrita" exibido em "Salt". Neste auspicioso álbum de estreia, os originais surgiam lado a lado com interpretações de temas alheios, sempre com um brilho invulgar. Entretanto, o "Chicago Tribune" elogiava a transposição para palco: "Wright justificou com facilidade o 'buzz' que tem gerado no mundo do jazz". Desde então, a cantora norte-americana editou "Dreaming Wide Awake" e "The Orchard", que vem apresentar.
